The ostensible reason for our trip to Turkey was to attend the wedding of Zeynep and Oguzhan (two friends of Tom's from graduate school). Of course, that just provided us with the excuse to take a much needed vacation. We spent two and a half wonderful weeks traveling around Turkey. The quartet (Yatin, Tom, Drew, and Dan) started their journey in Istanbul, wending their way down to the Mediterranean coast, then back up to Istanbul for the wedding celebration, onwards to Kapadokya in central Turkey, finally returning to spend some more time in fascinating Istanbul.
